Pediatric nutrition, coordinated with the rest of the team.

01 · The setup

Nutrition on the same team.

For children with restricted eating patterns, growth concerns, or medication-related appetite shifts, pediatric nutrition is wraparound work, not a single consult. Our pediatric dietitian sits in the same weekly team meeting as the OT, the SLP, the psychiatrist, and the family therapist.

What that means in practice: a child whose eating is affected by sensory processing gets coordinated work between nutrition and OT. A child whose appetite shifted on a new medication gets coordinated work between nutrition and psychiatry. The plan is one plan.

02 · Everyday nutrition

Everyday nutrition and family routines.

The dietitian supports the everyday nutrition piece: what's on the plate at home, snack patterns, hydration, growth monitoring, and the family-system dynamics around food. For families where mealtimes have become the hardest part of the day, that's where the work lives.

03 · How to decide

Is this part of what your child needs?

Pediatric nutrition is available on the team for any child whose care plan calls for it. If growth or appetite has been a chronic worry, or if a medication change is affecting either, this is where the integrated team takes the weight off the parent.
