Privacy policy.

This policy explains what NorthStar Day Program does with the information you send us through this website: the contact form, an email, or a phone call you place from a number on these pages.

It does not cover your child's medical record. Once a child is in our care, their health information is protected under separate federal and state law and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this page. See Health information below.

What you give us. Our contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, and your child's age. You may also tell us how you heard about us and write us a message. The form is the only place on this site where we ask you for information about yourself.

What is collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: the internet address you arrive from, the type of browser and device you use, the pages you open, and when. We use an analytics service to collect this in aggregate so we can see which pages families actually use. That service sets its own cookies in your browser.

What we do not do. This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device beyond what the analytics service places there. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not buy information about you from anyone else.

We use what you send us to:

• Call or write you back about your inquiry
• Answer questions about the program, admissions, and whether we are the right fit for your child
• Schedule a call, a tour, or an intake appointment
• Keep a record of our correspondence with you
• Meet our obligations under the law

We do not use what you send through this website to advertise to you, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.

Our contact form includes an optional box consenting to text messages. It is optional on purpose: we will not make being able to reach us conditional on agreeing to be texted, and we never assume consent you did not give.

If you check that box, you consent to receive SMS messages from NorthStar Day Program about your inquiry, appointment scheduling, and coordination of care. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for support. You can also ask us to stop by calling or emailing.

Your mobile number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, released, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share what you send us only in these situations:

• With our own staff. Your inquiry reaches the people who can answer it — our admissions specialists and, where relevant, the clinicians who would work with your child.
• With service providers who work for us, such as the companies that host this website and deliver our email. They may handle your information only to provide that service to us, and not for their own purposes.
• When the law requires it, or to respond to a lawful request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone's safety.

An inquiry form is not a medical record, and it is not a secure channel. Please do not send detailed clinical information, diagnoses, or documents about your child through this website. Tell us enough to route your call, and we will take the rest by phone or through a secure channel once we are working together.

Once your child is in our care, their health information is protected under federal and Florida law and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes your rights over that record and how to exercise them. That notice, not this page, controls your child's medical information. Ask us for a copy and we will send it to you. You can also request it at any point during intake.

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and inquiries are delivered to a limited group of staff who need to see them. We keep access to what you send us on a need-to-know basis.

No website or email system is perfectly secure, and we will not tell you otherwise. That is the reason for the request above: keep the sensitive detail off the form, and we will pick it up on a channel built to carry it.

We treat children ages 5 to 12, but this website is written for their parents, caregivers, and referring professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child.

Our form does ask for your child's age, and you may choose to tell us more about them in your message. That information comes from you, the adult making the inquiry, and we use it only to answer you and to judge whether our program fits your child. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, call or email us and we will delete it.

• Ask what we have. Contact us and we will tell you what information we hold from your inquiry.
• Correct it. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
• Ask us to delete it. We will, unless we are required to keep it — which is the case for anything that has become part of a clinical record.
• Stop the texts. Reply STOP to any message, or ask us directly.
• Limit analytics. Your browser's privacy settings, and its controls for blocking cookies, apply to this site like any other.

Rights over your child's medical record are separate and broader. Those are set out in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we will send you on request.

Some pages link to organizations we do not run. Once you follow a link away from this site, this policy no longer applies, and we are not responsible for how that organization handles your information. It is worth reading their policy before you send them anything.

We may update this policy as the program grows or as the law changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. This version is effective August 5, 2026.
