Pediatric occupational therapy, woven through the day.
OT runs through every part of the day in our program: dedicated discipline-specific OT rooms, embedded sensory work in groups and transitions, and a sensory gym children move through on their schedule, not on the OT's calendar alone.

OT inside the whole day.
In an outpatient model, pediatric occupational therapy is a 45-minute slot at the OT's office once or twice a week. In ours, it's a continuous thread woven through the day. There are dedicated OT blocks, and there's sensory and motor work happening in transitions, in groups, in the design of the building itself.
The OT is on the team meeting weekly about your child. What they see in the sensory gym informs how the therapist runs the next session and how the family therapist coaches you for home.
What sessions actually look like.
Sessions happen in a dedicated, equipped sensory gym (swings, climbing structures, crash pads, balance equipment, weighted gear) and in discipline-specific OT rooms for finer work. The session is built around the child's current state and goals, not a fixed protocol.
Inside the work, OT covers:
- Sensory integration intervention: the body-based foundation regulation rests on
- Motor planning, postural control, and the gross-motor skills attention rests on
- Fine-motor skills for handwriting, self-care, and tool use
- Daily-living skills: dressing, organization
- Parent coaching in sensory diets and home accommodations that hold up between visits

Embedded sensory work across the program.
The OT's influence doesn't stop at the door of the OT room. The building itself is sensory-aware, with low-stim rooms, soft acoustics, low-glare lighting, and an outdoor nature space. The pacing of the day, the warned transitions, the regulation tools in the group rooms: all of it is shaped by OT principles, with the OT consulting on the whole environment.
That's why we call OT a thread in our program rather than a service. It shapes everything else.
Is this part of what your child needs?
OT is part of every child's care plan in our program, with the intensity and focus matched to the child. If you've been waiting for an OT evaluation, or if outpatient OT hasn't been enough, integrated day OT is where the picture shifts.
